Loneliness

Out of  the stark blue,
one winter evening
bleak loneliness.

~

Between the light strokes,
of black and white, I see gray
of loneliness.

~

Tottered and tripped, once
impaired and shattered but twice
hovers solitude.

Written for Haiku Heights.

  6. I do like the middle one here best. Black and white do feel easier and less lonely than gray, somehow.

  13. Solitude can be strength at times: a strong independence - and here you have touched on the weakness/despair of solitude. Excellent use of the sparseness of the Haiku form to capture the empty yearning of loneliness
